Why is Atheism associated with Leftism and Liberalism?

Not always is religion associated with the right however liberalism has always been associated with free thinking and open mindedness, so has atheism.

I was an active memebr of the Liberals and many were Christians. However most were also of the radical thinking groups like the Quackers. there were none of the bible thumping right. They joined the Tories

genuine Atheism can basically be nicely matched with Nihilism. Liberalism, even if if or no longer it is classical or cutting-component, can on no account be nicely matched with Nihilism. it isn't any longer reconcilable. So, if Liberalism isn't nicely matched with Nihilism, it potential that Liberalism has purpose ethical purpose. considering that genuine Atheism won't be able to have purpose ethical purpose, Atheism can basically be incompatible with Liberalism. Why is Atheism linked with allegiance to Liberalism? as a results of fact nicely-known lack of expertise is the mistress to cultural immorality.

this is due to poor education. Athiests are seen by the more ignorant Christians who see that people who support such things as abortion represent the majority of athiests and liberals. Truth is Jesus was a liberal. Read the new testiment and see for yourself.

He helped the poor. He demonstrated free health care. He exposed the evil exhibited by those who love money.

Unfortunately there has been a severe lack of accountability in churches which has resulted in capitalists taking over many of our churches and teaching the sheep, lies.

Richard Dawkins of England, William Provine of Cornell, etc, are dogmatic atheists. Michael Ruse, ardent Darwinian atheist has acknowledged that Evolution is their religion! A full pledged alternative to Christianity. Sir Julian Huxley has called Evolution a "religion without revelation".

Honestly, I believe it's because more conservatives view things in black and white. Religion tends to fill the need of the Good vs Evil need in a lot of these people. Also, I find conservative people don't like not having a definative answer which Atheism/Philosophy is filled with.

Because atheism is a less religious viewpoint in politics. The liberalism relates to thier belief that anyone can worship how they like, but they dont have to if they dont want to.

If you pay close enough attention to Republicans, you will see that they have alot of christian ideals in what they say.

That's what the extremists lead you to believe in by false propaganda, published or broadcast. Jesus, a Jew, was a great liberal who shook the foundations of the Jewish belief system. Further, and it is not stretching the point too much, Christianity can be considered to be reformed Judaism.

Right-wingers are supposed to be conservative & think America is the greatest thing that ever happened. America is built on things like 'In God We Trust.' Therefore, people who are supposed to believe 100% in America are supposed to believe 100% in God...
