Im seeing this girl and she has this best friend who is a guy. They have been friends for years and he bought her an expensive ipod for her birthday. Im trying not to be jealous but if it get serious between us (like long term, even weddings, kids etd) it might pose as a problem. Insecurity is a pain but maybe there is something wrong with me. MMMM any suggestions on how not to let this be a problem.

look, they are best friends..theyve been friends for a while and you cant just go between that. but hey, if they wanted to be together, they they would have, dont you think? the fact that she is with you now means that she likes you...work out your insecurieties..you might end up regreting it if you start feeding your ego and start being so jealous....

When and if the 2 of you get serious, then I would bring up her best friend as a concern. She may not want to get serious with you because of that issue.

my bestfriend is a male and at first my husband was soo drawn back by that eventually he learned we both saw eachother more of a sibiling than anything else my wedding he was on my side as my best man...talk to her and see if she sees him as a brother/bestfriend and if there was anything between them before. that might be something to think about tell her to be honest with her but would she ever do anything with him.

I wouldn't worry if I were you. Insecurity is common place. My best friend is a guy and my bf gets along fairly well with him after they got to know one another. But there really isn't much you can do about their friendship it's there. learn to accept it. and unless he starts making advances towards her don't get your pantie's in a bunch. good luck!

My best friend is a guy too...if you love your girlfriend, and you trust her than you need to get over the jealousy because otherwise you will lose her

i have a best guy friend.

and trust me, she isn't going to compare you two because you're on two different levels. He's known her for ages so its normal to get her an expensive gift. it's sort of like a brother buying his sister an iPod.

and dont be scared to say to her that you're concerned. don't make a big deal out of it and she'll probably say you're way out. but she'll keep it in mind.

I'm a girl and my best friend is a guy, you just need to realize that your girlfriend doesn't like him in that way. if she did then she wouldn't have made him her best friend. and you her boyfriend. there are the type of guys that us girls like to date and the type of guys that us girls can only be friends with but it depends on the girl. but if she has already made him her best friend then there is nothing that you have to worry about on her part...

Dude, believe me as a man, if you really like this girl, let her have her way with her friend, cos the minut you show insucerity she will pick him over you.

You have to ask yourself if you like this girl enough to put up with him, thats it really, any show of negativity towards him and she'll probably leave you.

Sorry no better suggestion.
