The MS adaptor allows you to fit a smaller 'Pro' card into a slot designed for only full size memory sticks. The slots look the same but do not line up properly, and can damage the MS Pro-duo cards.

memory stick adopter converts memory stick to use in different type of slots. memory stick adopter dosen't record the data b'coz it is just a adopter to use stick in different slots.
