I heard that it was very safe and that the standard of living there was high. Are the surrouding areas the same?

What about the traffic, cleanliness and friendliness?

For the most part, yes, but it is very expensive and the traffic and the pollution are just as bad as the rest of New Jersey. My experience with the people was good but I grew up in the New York/New Jersey area. It can be tough but for the most part the culture is straight forward and you will get what you give. The median income in that area is well above $150,000 a year.

Princeton is a great place to live the schools the area and landscape are all nice. The surrounding area's are good until you get to Trenton 15 minutes south but there crime dosen't spill into Princeton.
