Why do people here assume that I've only read "biased" pro-evolution material? I can say that I've certainly heard the anti-evolution side (I've even listened to substantial portions of Kent Hovind debates). I spent a large part of college hanging out with fundamentalist Christians, going to Bible study with them, and engaging them in debates. This is how I came across the intelligent design-inspired concepts of irreducible complexity, etc. So don't assume I haven't put any thought into this.
Ultimately, I've found the arguments against evolution to be remarkably weak, and at times simply disingenuous.
What about you folks? How many of you have actually bothered to learn evolutionary theory?

I have listened to evolutionary theory and it is full of holes. Mary Schweitzer, a paleontologist at the University of North Carolina was examining portions of a new dinosaur which had been discovered. She found something even she could not identify and she's a Christian with a PhD. So, she takes her sample to the nation's largest vet convention and the sample was blood vessels and tissue. If the dinosaur would have been there for billions of years, no way would there be blood cells and tissue. This has startled the scientific community and now we have to ask if carbon dating is reliable and with Mary's find, is the Earth younger than they all think? I am glad you posted your question and thoughts.

Perhaps it's because certain people, who tend to have certain beliefs, have another tendency to refuse to understand that not all of the world functions as they do.
They only read biased anti-evolution material, so of course the other side only reads biased pro-evolution material.
And they are very certain that they are very right.

To believe in creation requires little to no thought whereas to believe in evolution requires mass amounts of thought.Go figure that creationism goes with religion, another no thinker.

Kent Hovind is the name we use when we have to swear/demean others.
"Hey there goes Kent Hovind." It implies that there goes a retard.

what about Adam and Eve being grown people, not babies. How about God creating an aged world with an old world, like dinosaurs bones and such. who knows. Maybe he allowed evolution to exist. who knows.

Creationists think they will go to Hell for all eternity if they believe in evolution so there is no way you can convince them to "look in to it".

because people are idiots and seem to always only be able to think with one metaphor "either\or", they cant see that both evolutionist and other perspectives are not entirely true but contain elements of truth....they spend more time trying to negate the other than they do thinking or searching for the truth.
once they affiliate with one they negate the other.
