I think it's the most inspired work! It should be shown in RE classes...so that the kids get the other side of the coin!

But so true!!!!!

Brilliant film. I once loaned Dogma to a teacher friend to show to his RE class, he didn't watch it first, put the film on and the kids loved it. Well actually they loved what they saw of it but teacher panicked and switched it off about 15 minutes in. He said he didn't mind and the kids, all 15 or over, loved it but he might get complaints from some parents.

I very much doubt if ever Brian will be show for RE. Tis a pity because it is the funniest examination of belief I have yet come across.

So keep your chin up and 'Always look on the bright side of life'

He's not the messiah, he's a very naughty boy!

Heh heh... The first time I saw it was in an RE class ;)

But, it does have some nudity in it, which teachers may not approve of; We only watched it in RE because we had a cover lesson and were allowed to watch whatever we wanted.

Why not? If it gets the kids stimulated and asking questions it's very healthy. Just like satire and cartoons they play a part in informing the public without hammering the party political message.

It's a funny, funny film, I lived in SA and it was banned there because of its perceived irreverence to christianity, a friend of mine was arrested in the early 80's for having a copy! Many a true word spoken in jest springs to mind

The Life of Brian exposed the ridiculous aspects of religion--but I doubt if religious people would see it was aimed at them!!

It is LITERALLY one of the best things in the world, that includes things like babies and sunsets. Fabulous film.
