married? as in married n divorced? Or u mean a widow? or do u mean still married? separated? you really need to specify to get a proper answer. also it depends on your religion, different religions have different norms, different laws. Also if you are asking the question from a philosophical or legal point of view? Broadly speaking its a free country, you can do what you want to provided its legal and you are mature enough to understand what you are doing and take responsibility for it!

You mean still married or divorced? Why in the world would you want to be married to a married man? Are you that desperate?

certainly you can marry that person provided you both must understand eachother and also this or your marriage should not affect others (especially that married persons family). before you are getting married you must clear all the confusions. Then only you can lead a peaceful life.

yes you can marry a person that already has been married just that you have to see what religion they married from the first time because the Catholic Church just allows you to marry one time truw there Church so that's the only Church that doesn't allow you to marry two's so you may want to know what religion your partner had married from so really you have no problem to get married to a person that had gotten married before.

You can legally marry someone who was married before but is now divorced.

You can legally marry someone who was married before but whose spouse has died.

You cannot marry them in a Catholic Church if the 1st marriage was held in a Catholic Church and was not annulled.

You cannot marry someone who has entered into a Domestic Partnership Contract with another person and has not dissolved their contractual obligation to that person.

You cannot marry someone who has entered into a Civil Union with another person and has not dissolved their contractual obligation to that person.

Your question isn't clear. You can marry someone who is divorced or widowed. If they are still married, I would recommend you back off. You don't want to be a home-wrecker, do you?
