...they would like to come over and watch He-man and the masters of the universe. One of them said that he couldn't because "He-man was not the master of the universe". We were in elementary school, so of course me and the other guy chuckled, but we were surprised at his answer. You can't fault a person for their beliefs. In actuality, both of their families were a major influence to me while growing up. But anyways, do you think his parents were going too far by not letting him watch this cartoon?

yeah. I know a family who they can't watch any movie higher than 'G'. I mean...I know some movies are bad...but a lot of DISNEY movies have at least PG ratings. Is it fair to make your kids miss out on stuff like that? I can understand things that could be bad...but come on...what's wrong with a simple cartoon? It's not like it's on Adult Swim or something...

no not really my grand mother wouldn't let us watch the smurfs cause poppa smurf is a warlock or he man she is just a strong christian trying to raise children up in this world the best they know how

no his parents werent going too far. there were shows i wasnt allowed to watch, b/c of magic, witchcraft etc... the kid wont die cuz he cant watch a certain cartoon. i didnt. in fact, i'm glad my parents took care in what i was exposed to, and what i watched. just cuz its a cartoon, doesnt mean its ok "just make believe" etc. parents obviously just looking out for their kid.

How did he turn out compared to yourself and the other friend,Im not sure but that might be the only way to know.

They felt they were putting God first, and by teaching their child the best they knew how, they were doing just that. Whether they were wrong is up to God to decide.

Are you talking about my parents? LOL!!! My parents wouldnt let us watch Smurfs because they were evil. Religious overload!!!
