You know, after the Hustler/Larry Flynt thing, he and Larry became something akin to friends. I think Jerry actually might have been an all right guy, on a subcutaneous (and sublipal) level. But he personified the Car Salesman archetype of Christian evangelist, and for that I think he grasped reason a little better than we give him credit for. I don't think he was stupid. I just think he was running with what he had as best he could.

No condolences from me, for anyone connected with him. He was a hateful pig. I'm sure his family is much the same as far as mindset goes as he was. We (atheists) don't want people like him on our side, thanks.
