There is something in your past that is unfinished and is being brought forward into the present. This is probably something dealing with your ex but you are putting it onto your current in some way.
The baby could be nothing more than your subconscious trying to get you to realize this is just a small thing that you should not put a lot of thought into, plus the two issues are very different. One is a thing that is alive and the other is just a toy, a play thing.
The feeling I'm picking up on the subject is there is something your current is wanting but your ex wanted something similar and it didn't work out so there is resistance on your part.

You said your current husband is the opposite of your ex. Maybe that's why your ex turned into your current husband; because of the differences. Are you sure there aren't any similarities?
What kind of person is your ex, by the way?

Frankly, I don't usually put much stock in dream interpretation but this one is so rich in symbols that it would be interesting to find out what it means to you.
My best suggestion is that you google dream analysis or dream interpretation and look through the sites to see if any of them say something meaningful.

The Baby was Jesus, and it was how small you have made him. You ex was a path to him, he was closer to Jesus than you are.
You, by leaving turned your back on him. Five is the number of grace, and it is torn apart. There is no grace with god without Jesus. You rejected God's child, and so you will be rejected by God.
The dream was there to give you a choice on what to do next. Don't wait too long.
