death is not actually the opposite of life in order to live life well you must know the fact that someday or the next hour you could die and that fact would make you want to live, death is not the end its actually a part of us everyday ,and when you think about it it must let you cherish life.

A very good question. Personally I can not answer because I do not believe they are opposites but that death is merely the opening of a door. A door that our spirit walks through in order to travel the universe and be one with the Great Forces before choosing a new place and body and enter into a new life. Though for someone who doesn't believe in the spirit they could describe it in a physical since. That death is the opposite of life because, physically, you are no longer "alive" your body has stopped functioning in death while in life it was constantly functioning. So I think life and death would only be considered opposites by those who believe death is the end and don't believe anything comes after it. But then I could be wrong.

Oppisite=Opposite. Death is to life as life is to death. You can't have one without the other in the FLESH, "unless" you are "immortal........"

death is the opposite of life only in the fact that the body ceases to be able to maintain the functions it did while we were alive.

We are composed of energy and energy never dies. It transmutes and become something else but it never dies.

The thing people can not agree upon is what does it transmute into?

Death is not the opposite to life; it's the state of being not alive.
It's like light and dark: there's nothing called darkness, because darkness is only the absence of light.
