I am amazingly suprised that nobody has said Wicca...interesting...

I do not believe any religious are dangerous...just the conflicts between each one...

And that Islam conflict is an ENORMOUS stereotype towards the Islamic people...just because of what is going on in the Middle East...if anything...the Koran passes the message of peace. I hate it when people do not know what it is they are talking about...perhaps you can try actually reading a book once in your life and learning the truth/..

Many of those that the US is fighting against in Iraq were bred to believe a certain translation of the Koran. Like the Bible...just one passage can have many different interpretations...it all depends on the perception of the reader. Those men were brainwashed since they were young to believe only one thing....what they are doing is not in the Koran...their leader poisoned the words of the Koran.

There is a passage...Do not let the hate for others, lead you to injustice....one which is ignored by the Jihad.

Those that follow the Koran 100%...are nothing but peaceful.

Gary B, evolution isn't a religion, it's a scientific theory supported by mounds of evidence. It's not a religion, but should be part of religion. Religion should always support science, and vice-versa.

Most dangerous religion? One that would promote hatred, disunity, closed-mindedness, and an unwillingness to learn from other faiths.

No religion. "The tragedy of disbelieving in God is not that a person ends up beliving in nothing, alas it is much worse, that person may end up beliving in ANYthing"
---GK Chesterton.

"Fundamentalist" Christianity like the 1st person said, would consist of the teachings of Jesus. The church has had an ugly scar on its history but it has never been ashamed of Christ. At least the religious are held to a belief in a universally, binding objective moral law. The atheist (although i will interject can still live a moral life) at least ALLOWs for the possibility of evil.

With the Crusades and stuff, it was the ILLOGICAL outworking of Christianity. With Mao and Stalin, it was the LOGICAL outworking of atheism.

I would have to say Christianity but not because I think its bad. I personally have a great deal of respect for all religions even though I am agnostic and have created my own spiritual/religious path. I say it because, as far as I know, Christianity has the bloodiest past of any religion. After all you've got the inquisitions, the crusades, the witch burnings, etc. I know it was the people who followed this religion and not the religion itself that did it but so many people were killed in the name of "God" anyway. If it turns out that there is a religion whose people has shed more blood and conquered more lands in the name of their god then I will revise my answer but as far as I know Christianity has the bloodiest past of them all.

In my opinion, I think extremist Islam has already proven that they are #1. Any religion taken to extremes is potentially dangerous.

Any religion where people are looked to for supreme leadership instead of God, is terribly dangerous.

In my opinion the most oppressing religion has been catholicism.
Its more an empire, always has been, rather than an instituion for worshiping the GOD of Abraham Isaac Jacob and JESUS CHRIST.

Its use of guilt makes hitlers propoganda campaign pale in comparison. With so many evil deeds its amazing that people still respect Catholicism in the manner they do,.

Especially when there are so many inaccuracies to it.
This from someone raised catholic, was an alter boy, and considered at one time of becoming a priest

All religion is dangerous. Faith and belief in God is totally different. A correct relationship with God is the true answers to and in life.

Islam. Not only does the book have several vicious passages in it, unlike with Christianity, where the believers just ignore most said vicious passages, some people actually take the Quran passages seriously.
