Hi, I have an Xbox 360 Premium, bought it last year. I would like to know if there's a significant difference in quality (overall) in an HDTV using HDMI or component cables. Cause I'm planning to buy the 360's HD-DVD player but I would like to know what advantages and disadvantages have HDMI compared to component cables

There is very little difference. If your TV supports 1080p, then you could get the HDMI cable so you could watch HD-DVD in 1080p. Otherwise I'd stick to the component cables, which do 1080i just fine, digital or not.

i think of you have your cable and costs back words. The HDMI cable is the latest and greater suitable selection for finished 1080p HD and is the dearer of the cables. you may desire to like quite a few different guy reported choose the gap of mandatory cable to the well-known of cable yet do away with the ingredient cables and circulate with a solid HDMI you will see the version in case you have solid kit. ascertain each and all the television inputs are HDMI and your cable container is a HDMI HD container some cable enterprise's basically furnish you with a area container that isn't HDMI i inform you this REFUSE THE ingredient container FROM THEM tell them your equipment is greater suitable than that and you call for HDMI they could could desire to purchase you a container to be nicely matched yet they are going to in case you rigidity them!

HDMI is a digital interface, component is analog.

If you plan to watch HD-DVDs then you need HDMI otherwise the player will play at lower resolution.
No need to spend too much money on the cables though.

HDMI wil provide slightly better video and digital audio. It will also clean up the mess of wiring...It's worth it, especially since component cables and HDMI cables are about the same price now.
