I am so stressed out with my life that I missed Jury Duty accidentally. I am getting married this June and with all the wedding planning, working full time and trying to fix my broken car, I totally forgot. Any recommendations what I should do? They probably wont give a crap about my life and it won’t be a good enough excuse...Some useful advice will be appreciated. Thanks.

Technically, you have no valid reason. Just wait for your penalty.

You're right. They won't give a crap about your life and why shouldthey? You ignored it.

All that trouble and you might not have been called. You phone them the night before and half the time, you don't even have to report.

Call them tell them, and let them call the shots. And LOL if you ever get Federal jury duty.

Just call the court clerk and be honest. Explain what happened, they probably WILL be understanding and either dismiss it or call you back in. You're not the only one that has happened to! By calling them and explaining that you forgot this should clear you of any legal trouble you might have in the future over this.

Ive been summoned for jury duty for 3 months, Ive been a loyal citizen and called every Monday like i was supposed to until last night.......Totally slipped my mind. My number has never been called until TODAY! I got failure to appear and now the judge may or may not summons me to come and 'explain myself' to why i hadn't showed. I know my story may not be believable but it is the truth. 2d to last week for me and this S*** happens.............Unreal! I'm only 21 btw, i don't need to deal with this now.

Call the court and see if you have a bench warrent issued. A lot of the courts will let you come in after the fact and call it service hours then expunge the charge after the fact.
