An intake runner connects the intake manifold to the cylider heads. It allows air to flow from the throttle body, through the intake manifold, past the intake valves when they are open, and into the combustion chamber. You've got a v6, so odds are you can't see them by just popping the hood.

The silver device on top of your motor between the throttle chamber and the top of the intake manifold. Each cyl gets a pool of air stored in the runner so when the intake valve opens and the piston falls away the injector is triggered and fuel is mixed with air entering the combustion chamber. Runner size and length changes the torque and power range. Rule of thumb long tubes more high speed power short tubes low end power.
