There are a few factors that you need to think about and actually do and remember it depends on your body because everyone is different. First, don't eat three BIG meals a day. Instead eat about 5 or 6 very small meals that are well balanced. Stay away from sodas and artificial fruit drinks or anything else with "high fructose corn syrup". Next, you must exercise and by exercise I mean running, swimming, or anything else that makes your break a serious sweat. It's important to not start off exercising really hard to begin with. It won't be easy to start this new routine and if you over do it to begin with then you'll hate it and won't continue it. There are two final things that you must remember. First is that "fat" that you see is simply your bodies way of storing energy. If you take in more calories than you use then your body will store them for savings. So, you must work out (ie run) long enough, and remember build yourself up of time, to start burning calories and fat. This is about 30 min and has to do with your heart rate and how long you keep your heart rate up. Try going jogging for a half mile to start with then go swimming for a while usually different strokes to swim then work your way up to longer distances and time. Second, and this is more psychological, remember that muscle weighs more than fat, so don't be disappointed if your weight doesn't go down. Your simply replacing fat with muscle. You should measure yourself (i.e. waist line, thighs, arms) to see where your starting at. Then, at the end of one month, tape yourself again with the same "sewing" taping measure and see where your at. It won't help to do it before this long because you probably won't see a difference. Remember, nothing thats worth it is easy and it takes a life style change on the inside to change what you look like on the outside.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

I'm glad you're content with losing weight the healthy way, instead of going to drastic cosmetic procedures.
3,500 calories is a pound, so cut calories accordingly to reach your goal.
You don't have to starve, just make healthier food choices. Start reading labels, aim for low calories and high protein. Give up your coffee for tea, sugar for splenda, milk for light soy milk, soda for water, etc.
Find an exercise that you really enjoy doing and can stick to in a daily routine. Hate running? Then don't force yourself to run. Like scenic walks? Then take a 25 minute one every morning. Whatever it is, do it everyday.
Best of luck!

well what is ur height. u should check ur BMI. if it is under 20, then u don't need to lose any weight. but if u insist, u need to swim (its less painful than jogging) and lift a few weights in the gym.
