The sebaceous glands of your skin are probably overactive which is common for oily skin. The best thing is just to wash your skin about 2 times each day...over-washing your skin will make it more oily.

I have this problem too and I usually use an alcohol-free toner and that usually gets the oily/shine down. As a 3-step program, use an oil-free cleanser, an alcohol-free toner, and an oil-free moisturizer. Alcohol tends to overdry your skin and can disrupt the PH balance of your skin...just try it on a patch of skin to test it out if you really want to use it.

This is borderline metrosexual...but you could always try microdermabrasion (you can get the at-home kits made by Neutrogena) to help minimize those pores.

Okay, after spending a fortune and trying cheap and expensive, I know some people will think I'm crazy but I still use 70% rubbing alcohol. It really helps dry the oil, clears zits and if the area is dry, I dilute the alcohol with water. It's pure, drys fast and hasn't hurt my skin yet. Also Neutrogena makes a great nightime product that minimizes pores. It takes a few weeks to see absolute results but works great and doesn't cost a fortune.

sometimes we just have acne plain and simple and we need to get on some type of good for us acne treatment but also watch what we eat especially oily foods. Clinique has an excellent line and even a pore minimizer and the consultation is free just walk into a mall with a Clinique counter and ask for information so that you can talk with a professional for free and if that doesn't work then go to a dermatologist.

It could be one of three things.
1. Your skin is that excessively oily
2. Your cleanser is not completely cleaning the oil off your skin.
3. Your cleanser is so harsh that it dehydrates the surface of your skin and your body increases the oil production to counteract this.

The large pores come from the oil. There are products that claim to minimize pore appearance that could help. Once you get the oil problem taken care of, this will improve on its own.

there are many medecines to stop pores. one i use is called Sea Breeze. It is a purple liquid and you could put it on anywhere. Just put a little bit on a Q tip and rub it on the pore. It will be a little oily on your face but after 1 to 2 hours wash your face. U could by it at Walgreens, CVS, Walmart, etc

Look for a facewash that is oil-free. There are special creams that can be purchased, either at drugstores or pricier ones at department stores that can help with minimizing pores. I know Clinique has a good one...

Oil comes up because your wash is drying out your face, which makes your face feel the need to produce oil to keep it moisturized. Try a different face wash & apply a light moisturizer afterwards. To minimize poors, before applying moisturizer, use a toner & let dry.

Sometimes if you don't moisturize your skin it creates its oil to compensate and leaving your face gross and oily. Try a light, oil free moisturizer.
