I think she is fine.
A fall off the couch is not a big deal for a dog, even a tiny one. And in some ways, you know, "babies" are not as rigid as adults, and therefore less likely to break something. Puppies, like human toddlers, have all kinds of mishaps that would be unusual in an adult.
You know she isn't hurt because she didn't even yip when she fell. And she's probably not as scared as you are.
Now, when you start to train her, don't be scared to make her mind! Just because she's little doesn't mean she doesn't have a good brain. I've seen chihuahuas turned into tiny monsters because their owners are afraid to discipline them! I admit I'd rather be bitten by a chihuahua than by a Great Dane, but better yet is having a well-mannered dog!
Have fun.

Why do you have a six week old dog?
If she's walking fine and doesn't start running into walls or something, she's probably okay. I'd take her to the vet if she starts acting weird though, since she's pretty young so a fall like that could very easily hurt her especially if she didn't fall on carpet. She's probably just really scared so she's sleeping in her crate. Just leave her be for now. She should be back to herself in at least two days.

You could take her to a vet to get peice of mind, but I would say she is fine. Maybe a little traumatized by the event but she will be OK. She is a child like any other species. It was a learning event. I wouldn't stress over it. Also I wouldn't be putting a sweater on her. Personally I don't beleive in forcing cloths on animals. It isn't normal... I often wonder how normal it is for people, but I had sweaters forced on me as a child and fell off a couch so I'm traumatized for life and feel the need to wear clothing now =P

Did she hit her head? If not she is probably fine. Very small dogs can break limbs easily from falling off furniture. In the future, if possible, do not let her on the furniture. This may be the only way to prevent falls. If she did hit her head, you will need to get her to the vet. She could have a head trauma. Wake her up and call her see if she comes running without problems. Also get in a good light and look at her eyes. Make sure they look the same. If not this could be a sign of a head injury.

She sounds like she is fine. You are probably just another pet owner, understandably, we all love our pets. A fall off the couch isn't very far. My parents dog has fallen off the bed. She is a Schnauzer, granted she is bigger than a Chiuhaha, but my parents bed is a very tall one and she wasn't very big at the time. I'm sure she is fine. She is growing, so she is going to be tired. Just like babies, that's part of the reason they need to take naps.

If your pup seems to be walking around fine and acts the way she usually does I would not worry.
But if she just kind of lays around and shakes, get her to the vet, she could be going into shock.
EDIT: "R" is right. You should not even have a 6 week old chihuahua. She really should be with her mom yet. Smaller breeds should not go to their new homes until they are at least 10-12 weeks old and eating and gaining weight on heir own. We keep our poms until they are 11-12 weeks and doing good on their own.

shes fine she might have couch-phobia for a while but she'll learn the couch is nothing to be afraid of. You might want to try to spend a little time with her and coax her onto the couch (if shes afraid) just don't put the sweater on her while shes on the couch anymore. also don't stress over it just chill and its not the best idea to put a sweater on a dog in mid-may she could get over heated

don't worry. if she's walking fine, not limping or whatever, she's probably fine, but if you're really worried, call the vet. It free, convenient, and gets the job done. Don't worry about it. Just be more careful next time. good luck and congratulations on getting your new puppy!

She sounds o.k., but you should watch for signs like: if she's hard to wake or overly sleepy, and if she has trouble standing and walking straight. Good luck!â¥
