No! Leave the plexiglass on.

That's a band-pass box; it includes a sealed section combined with a ported section. It's designed so that all of the sound comes through the ports. If you remove the plexiglass, not only will it sound horrible, you'll easily damage the subwoofers because they need the air trapped in the sealed chamber to prevent over-excursion.

it was designed with the glass so i would leave it
