I loved that track. Went to the last 4 races there and I was really bummed they shut it down to give Texas a second boring race.

Looks like NASCAR could see that the FANS want more tracks like Rockingham and Bristol and N. Wilkesboro instead of building those "cookie cutter" tracks. They all SUCK ! Their is no way to recreate Charlotte even though they keep trying. But NASCAR keeps failing. All that they are worried about is "Who Threw That Budweiser CAN AT GORDON !"

I do; that was a tough track to race at, always made for some exciting action. It's like Dover except with more bumps and cracks. Made for some intense racing.

I believe they still run a Craftsman Truck race there and a Busch one.

p.s. Jennfer I take deep offense to what you said about us Californians. Back in the day the last race of the season took place in California at a very tough roadcourse called Riverside International Raceway. If anything you are a FAKE NASCAR Fan for making such a Nazi statement.

What a great track. Only a mile, but definitely two grooves. Way too many 1 1/2 mile tri-ovals on the schedule these days. I also miss North Wilkesboro. Unique 5/8 mile. It's too bad Nascar took both races every year away from these two. At least Darlington still gets 1 race a season.

I think NASCAR made a huge mistake by taking away Rockingham. I believe that everyday they get further and further away from the real roots of NASCAR. They are too worried about the commercial aspects instead of the true meanings of NASCAR. BRING BACK THE ROCK! and quit trying to make Californians "Fake NASCAR Fans!"

I miss Rockingham. But, I am OK with Texas having 2 races. However, I think California doesn't need any dates. Also, Chicagoland doesn't deserve one, either.

All the time. I would give almost anything to see the Rock back on the schedule and would love to see Wilksboro back on. I say take a date away from Cali and Pocono and add these 2 tracks back in.

I miss it and like a lot of other people have mentioned I miss the races at N. Wilkesboro too. They should have some more short track races....they're always full of action!!

i miss it a lot!...remember that great finish between Kahne and Kenseth there, in the last race run there?...that was great racing!...racing that you don't see on most tracks nowadays...while we're at it...why not bring back North Wilkesboro too?!

The ROCK is the home to the LABORDAY race.
But no NASCAR has to put it on a "cookie cutter" track.
Bad move.

It doesn't bother me that the Cup series doesn't go there, but why not the truck series? Man, the trucks would be awesome there, especially under the lights. If the fans cry, scream, and complain enough, can we make this happen?
