In 1986, amnesty was given to millions of illegals to appease the liberals. After they got amnesty, they wanted equal wages and promotions without qualifications……..they got them. Then these same individuals began complaining about ADDITIONAL illegal immigration because these NEW illegals were taking their jobs for less money.

Now, there are between 20 and 30 million illegals. Do you see this as cyclical? In other words, will the next batch of illegals = 50 million with a repeat of 1986?

I remember the traitor Kennedy saying back in 1986 that the 1986 Amnesty would DEFINITELY be the last amnesty ever granted to illegal immigrants and now 21 years later, he's helping to do it again and they call Republicans liars!

Unfortunately Yes it does.
We are in a never ending cycle. 20 years from now we will be right back at this starting point. The border will be left wide open, there will be no fence/wall built. We will have another 20-50 million illegal aliens, resources will be scarce, heck look at our crutch now (oil) it will only get worse....... LA and NY can barely sustain their numbers now (black outs). But yes the amnesty of 86 was supposed to be the only time.....and here we are with the majority of Americans saying enough/ NO MORE, and the politicians doing what they do best ......pandering.

As long as there are employers ready to pay low wages for hard labor, there will be hungry workers lining up to do the job.
No matter the legal status, a poor family member will seek ways to provide for their own, people are people, laws are tools to repress others, if we self govern we need no law to enforce good citizenship.
there are millions of people in the U.S., most are of foreign origin, some honest, most not. The problem is the inability to sustain large numbers of inhabitants,
improve nutritional status and you will have happier residents.
feed them, don't blame them. amnesty means friendliness, not a blanket card out of jail.

The citizens demanded a fence, deportation, and prosecution. We demanded the support of our border patrol. The illegals and their supporters demanded amnesty, our jobs, our benefits, our voice, and our services. Guess who the politicians listened to? Not it's citizens, but it's FUTURE citizens...an instant (remove border, pour in contents, and stir up trouble) constituant package of the new majority. Next they will be demanding our surrender.

It shows you cant cut deals with the liberals or they will give our Nation away by opening the flood gates of illegal immigration.

Many Police departments have a " don't ask don't tell" law that says when you stop someone, you "cannot" ask if they are illegal or legal. Look at Ft Dix where one guy was arrested a couple dozen times, and never checked.

We have to close the borders and control immigration. Yes, the Lady in New York Harbor says " give us your tired . . . . . "
but she means Legally!!!!!!

Perhaps if a little thing called NAFTA would be eliminated and if economic imperialists could get out of third world countries, we wouldn't come here anymore. We need a reform so that people can come here legally, but that wouldn't matter, the minutemen would change their name again and this time be against the legal immigrants coming.

It is simple. The amnesty gives poeple who are thinking about coming in illegally a real hope that they will eventually be granted citizenship. This attracts bigger numbers which down the road makes it an easy solution for polititians. It is self fulfilling prophecy at it's best.

Blame congress, George Bush senior, and clinton for introducing, and passing NAFTA. US corporations now must hire illegal aliens below minimum wage, and don't have to buy workmans comp for them to keep up with foreign slave labor. That's why they want them illegal.

I bet the government promised to guard the border after the amnesty back then as well.
