Ok so I am going on vacation for about a week in California. I'll be leaving for there july 2. I really really really really want to lose 10-15lbs by then. I already run for about an hour a day and do some sit ups and leg lifts and about 10 squats. I don't drink soda pop but i do eat chocolate(tons of it) and ice cream about once a week as a treat since now it's almost summer time. Please help me lose this weight by my deadline!!!! Do you think I can lose this much weight in this amount of time??? can you give me some excercising and eating suggestions, i also want this weight to stay off of me! thanks in advance!

You're on a good track to lose that weight by July. You didn't say what you eat throughout the day though, so it's hard to gauge your diet, but the best thing to do is eat several small meals each day instead of 3 meals. This way, your body is constantly burning calories. Drink lots of water, no sugary drinks or pop, eat lots of vege's and fruit, lots of protein. Salads are good as long as you watch what you put on them, and definately watch the dressings as well.
For your workout, the running is fine, however your "some sit ups, some leg lifts, and 10 squats" need to be adjusted. To me, the term "some" means that you do a few just so you can say you did them, but you don't do enough to make a difference.
You should do at least 2 sets of 8-12 reps of each. For the squats, I see people in my gym all the time that do squats up one end of the gym, then down the other end. Do them until you're tired. Also, add in weight lifting. You don't have to do them so you bulk up, but do enough to tire your muscles. The weight lifting will help to strengthen your muscles and bones. Also...cut down on the ice cream and chocolate. I know it's hard, but those are two big fat, high calorie, snacks that won't help your diet. If you "need" your chocolate, you should eat the dark stuff. It's high in antioxidents which are healthy for you. Break a bar of dark chocolate into bite sized pieces, then freeze them in the freezer. Use these pieces as your treat. By freezing the chocolate, it'll force you to take your time eating it, therefore, forcing you to enjoy it more. Good luck!

You are doing a great job exercising and staying fit. However, try and cut ice cream out of your diet as that is high in fat. Cut down on the chocolate a bit, eating it sparingly. It may be hard, but if you really want to lose this weight then you should commit youself to it. Try eating breakfast every day, have something healthy like a sandwich or salad for lunch, have a snack in between that and dinner, and one no less that two hours before you go to bed. Good luck!

yes, you can. i lost 10 lbs in a week for powerlifting once, but I wouldn't recommend that-it's not healthy. keep lifting, or you will have the tendency to lose muscle mass. Reduce your calorie intake, but the worst thing you could do is eat large amounts of things like ice cream at once. Ice cream is fine, but in small quantities, spaced out. Eat small meals, but up to 6-8 times a day. Also, try not to eat a lot before bed.

use Xocai chocolate in place of your regular chocolate ... it is a healthy chocolate, believe it or not ... it also curbs the cravings for "junk food" such as ice cream ... i know this first hand ... with the exercise you are already doing, i recommend a 1 oz shot of Xocai Activ 3 times a day (i drink it in coffee or milk, but you can shot it straight!) and keeping some nuggets and omega bars on hand for an occasional chocolate treat ... i have found tho, that regular consumption (3 times a day) of the liquid and i don't get the cravings for that "treat" very often anymore either ... check it out, you can watch a 13 minute info video about the chocolate @ www.becauseilovechocolate.com ... i wish you the best of luck
