Calipers may be sticking. Coworker has the same car, he has had brake problems also.

By 'pairs' you mean all four wheels 3 times in 5 months?
something is definitely wrong. Are you a hard stopper, the kind that stops at the last second all the time,? that will eat them up, but not that much.

You may just have seized caliper pistons, or seized calipers. then they will not release totally when you let off the brakes and they will constantly have a little pressure on them and wear out very fast.

The calipers can be taken off the rotor, and taken the halves apart and grease the posts that connect the two halves of the caliper. This may help. Replacing the cwhole alipers would be my other suggestion, but you dont wanna see the bill for that.

You have to be sure that the brakes are releasing fully. Lift the wheels and see if they spin free after applying the brakes. If they don't you most likely have something that is not letting the brake pedal return fully. There is a possibility that the ABS or TCS are faulty and will have to be checked. More often than not, the problem can be found with stuck front caliper sliders or a piston being stuck due to corrosion inside the caliper. You need to get it checked by someone who knows what to look for as you are right, they should not wear out that fast no matter how hard you brake. Good luck.
