Have the vet give you a special shampoo (or if they do flea-dips). You should also get Advantix or Frontline to apply every few months. Its best to get it from your vet, and dont buy it at petsmart. I learned the hard way that those DON'T work well. So go through your vet.

Either way, vet is the best choice! You may also have to flea-bomb your house if they are EVERYWHERE.
So vet ASAP! to get rid of those little suckers. If they havent spread alot, leave a few plates of water where your dogs mostly are .. the fleas will hop around and jump in the water and die. Wash ALLLL bedding in warm water every few days to get rid of the flea eggs too. Including dogs bed and blankets.

If you cant get to a vet until Monday, try a dog bath in Dawn Dishsoap .. this isnt a permanent solution, but will help kill off some of the fleas until you can get to a vet to get the proper treatment.

Here is a How-to get rid of fleas article:

Hope that helps!

Frontline Plus is the best flea product, in my opinion. Other good ones are Advantage and Advantix. Revolution is also a good product, but that is a prescription medication that you have to get from your vet. These are all topical products, each dose lasts for one month. Other over the counter flea meds don't work well. And just be sure to get the dosage for the right weight range for your dogs. Good Luck.

The cheapest way to do this is to buy a can of Seven Dust. It's safe for all animals. Use as the directions say. If you have fleas in the house there is a Carpet Fresh for fleas.

First of all....relax. I know its stressful but I had many pets with fleas. It not going to go away from day to night. Bathe your pet really good. Pick the fleas as many as you can get and kill them. Buy flea collar and flea shampoo. Bath them again in two days do the same. My cat had fleas and I filled a bucked and dumped most of her body in it just leaving her head out. Some fleas would float and other I would see scatter out of her fur. That when I would pick them and squeeze them with my nails. Since pets are always licking their fur I would not recommend the powder flea repellent unless a veterinarian advises. See a Vet if you need to.

Go to the vet and get a Capstar and frontline plus. Capstar will kill the fleas instantly, frontline will prevent them. Spray the yard with a good flea killer, and use "20-Mule-Team Borax" on the carpets, let it sit, and then vacuum it up. Wash all beds and blankets the dogs sleep on.

My dog got flea's & I went to my vet who gave me shampoo for them or maybe petsmart will have it to, but do it ASAP for the fleas can drop off dog on your carpet, couch, whereever they may nap or sleep at night. All the dogs beds will need to be cleaned in washer with hot water, it is a pain but the faster you move on it the better!good luck, when all done get stuff also for flea and ticks for them(collars),
various ointments also.

There are different ways, such as a flea medicine or collar. I'd suggest checking with your vet to find out the best way for your dogs.

Arreias has a good answer. To add to it I would say if your house is carpeted shampoo them. This will get rid of any fleas or eggs that may have been laid.
