I just saw someone's post mention spirit guide when the question concerned angels (God's) so I was just curious what they need this guide for. I would not delve any further than that for I know its against what God wants for us

Daisy, I know you are a Christian because I have seen your other posts. Everything you read on the net about spirit guides is a deception. Any spirit derived from meditation is not of God, and is a demon. Why? Because Chrisitanity assures direct access to Jesus Christ, and we need no spirit guide except the Holy Spirit whom Christ has deposited in our hearts upon our receipt of Him. Do not be fooled by mystics who say there are many spirit guides. You only need and want Jesus. Why would you ask here anyway? This dark place is full of demons. Ask your pastor. Your brother in Christ,

In shamanic meditation, a spirit guide is an entity that appears during your trance state "journey" and teaches you.

In traditional animistic cultures like the Saami and various Amerind tribes, they are a key feature of folk belief, and actively sought during initiatory vision quests.

In ancient Norse beliefs, they were called fylgia, and their physical manifestation---i.e., seeing them while NOT in a trance state---was considered an omen one would die soon.

They've become almost cliche in the popular New Age/neopagan culture because of Harner's book "Way of the Shaman," but are more likely to be sub/unconscious projections on the part of those seeing them absent formal shamanic training within a culture which practices traditional techniques.
