Having raised guinea pigs for many years, I find the average gestation of guinea pigs is about 63 days. The female averages about 3 young but can have from 2-7. Guinea pigs need to remain with the mother pig for a minimum of 6 weeks. We find the pigs are much calmer and friendlier if they stay with the mother that long.

Pregnancy in guinea pigs normally lasts from fifty nine to seventy two days with an average of sixty three days. The litter size for guinea pigs is an average of four. Under suitable conditions a sow can have two or three litters a year. The mother suckles her young for two to three months

About 60 days. They get really large and when you see them laying with their legs kicked out to the side a lot then it is close to time. Mine have had from 2 - 4. They need to stay with mom until they turn 6 weeks. Remove the males at 6 weeks so they will not get the mom or the other girls pregnant.
