Frequent burping started from stomach pain, then the burping, after 2-3 day, burping is accompanied by chest pain. After seeing doctor, I was given omeprazole capsule n domperidone tablets . 3 days after taking the medicine, frequent burping remains the same although the pain on the chest was lessen.

The most common cause of frequent burping is GE reflux,also known as acid reflux or GERD. The omeprazole is for this problem. Some people get relief immediately, while for most, it takes 3 to 4 days. If you have been on it a week or more, then it is definitely time to call or see your doctor.
Everyone is different so one medication doesn't work for all. Omeprazole (prilosec) may not be the one for you and this way the doctor will know that you need to try a different medication or that further testing is needed to find out if your problem is not acid reflux. Please notify your doctor!
