Just a nickname DW gave Dale Jr. when he was young.
Correction: According to a statement DW made, Jr. got the nickname because as a child, Sr. would call June Bug and have his son fetch tools to help work on race set-ups.

Seems it's been a nickname for most of his life. I agree with David,seems like Big Red has issue with her own sexuality and is a bandwagon jumper.
