find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

5'5 and 135 is a good weight depending on if you are athletic or average. Muscle weighs more then fat so if you are muscular you are not overweight at all. Probably a little underweight. If you have an average body then 135 is fine for 5'5". If you feel like you look fat and want to tone up. Beware as I said before muslce is heavier then fat. So working out might actually make you gain some weight as you build muscle. I would not go by what you weigh but by what size you are. If you want to tone up do at least 30 minutes of cardio a day and lift moderate weights. Not too heavy but not too light either. Please do not let ANYONE tell you that 135 is overweight for your height. They do not know what they are talking about. Hope this helps!

I don't think so. I'm 5'3 and weigh 138 and was told by my doctor that was in the normal weight range. Of course, it also depends on your age and overall health. I'd ask a doctor.

You're not overweight, you're average. http://www.bcbstx.com/producersguide/healthguide/chartadult.htm
If you want to take a few pounds off, try increasing your activity and reducing your food portions. http://www.calorieking.com/library/articles/Portion-Control-Guide_Y2lkPTMmcGlkPTEzLDE0JmFpZD04NDk.html
