CARNIVALE! HBO canceled it right after things came to a head. They claim they ended the show at a natural stopping place, but that's a total BS cop-out. HBO received a ton of complaints and petitions to bring the show back by its fans, but it still canned the show. Just one more season is all we were asking for!!
The show is great because it's so layered. There are so many literary elements that all English teachers, psychology majors, and film buffs would have enough to ponder for months. Good and evil are skewed, just like in real life. Everyone has a role to play in the destiny of the world.

Thank God Heroes is on now. It's a funner, less dark version of Carnivale (the female FBI agent was a pivotal character on Carnivale). Gives me something to look forward to each week. It's still no Carnivale though. :)

There was this one show that used to be on the WB called, "Maybe It's Me" I loved that show!! It was a pretty good "family show" too, one of the last ones that can still be considered this. It was so quirky ad cute. (it was a show about this REALLY dysfunctional family) and the main character would create little thought bubbles throughout the show, which really amused me. lol. but mostly, i wish it would come back because it ended in this HUUUGE cliffhanger that nearly killed me!

o yes, and this is an odd one, but I'd also like to see Alf again. I mean, it definitely wouldn't fit in with all the new programs of today, but I remember loving that show while I was little (I recently saw the first episode online and it made me wonder how it never gave me nightmares...but I guess that's what made the show so good...the made him so loveable. lol. I guess the show isn't THAT great, but hey, as a kid, I thought it was cool. =p )

Arrested Development.

The program was really popular with critics and had (and still has if you look on the IMDB message board) a highly devoted fan base. Each episode has so many layers--you discover more and more each time you watch them. The characters are completely self-absorbed, yet I love them all, and I wouldn't want them any other way. I rarely buy DVDs--I have a limited collection of about 20 movies that are my all time favorites, but I made room for all three seasons of AD because I could not live without them! If you haven't seen it, I highly advise you to check out the first season. At first I was sort of indifferent, but there was something I liked about it, and I kept watching. It's really fun to watch the development of the characters throughout the episodes, and to look for re-emerging themes, like how whenever Gob performs his magic show, the song "The Final Countdown" plays in the background. Arrested Development was truly one of the best programs ever.

Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip.

Was a great show, great writing and a stellar cast. NBC didn't give this show a chance to build up a fan base with hiatuses all the time and it's a real shame that an intelligent, witty show won't be back

The Knights of Prosperity, because it was very original with a plot so stupid, it made the show funny. Plus David Letterman was an executive producer so it made the show contain a type of humor that I enjoy.

Jericho because it was well written and acted, advocated family and community values and the strength of Americans when they stick together. There is still time to bring this show back. Go to
