i hate windows 2000, its so crappy, do i need a disk to upgrade it?

Hmm, how much free space do you have on your hard drive? Some XP's use less than 1gb (1000mb) Their are cheap versions of XP these days, cause Windows Vista came out not to long ago. You can go to your computer shop and ask them if they can upgrade you computer.

Windows 2000 is far more stable than xp any day why would want to up grade!

You sure cant upgrade with a pancake thats for sure.
You need either a Retail or Upgrade version if you plan to carry all your programs and data to the new XP.

back up the 2000 to a hardrive then get new memry then put windows xp on the memry then put the backup on the xp

Don't upgrade, do a full new install of XP.
You can get XP cheap now, if you look about.
Upgrading is ALWAYS a hassle.

You will be better served if you buy the program, get the CD and product key.
