Contrary to what everyone else has said, you do not want to put neosporin on it. Neosporin is an oil based medicine which can actually cause it to burn more. Cool water works well, but do not use cold water because that only works while you are running the water on the burn, and actually makes it feel worse once it is removed from the water. The best thing to use is a burn gel. Gel is the best because the skin absorbs it as opposed to oils and balms that coat the skin, You never want to cover a burn, not with balms creams or bandages because the ointments keep the skin wet and thus it will not heal. Bandages are no good because the skin will adhere to them, and when you remove them, you also remove the skin. Solarcaine is sold in all drug stores and stores like Walmart. It works very well because it is gel based, and has a topical numbing agent (hence the name solarCAINE). Good Luck!

You might have to see a Dr or go to the emergency room. Burns hurt. They can give you some meds to help the pain and to make sure you don't get an infection. Blisters tell you that its a bad burn. Get a wash cloth wet with cold water....have another on stand by and keep it on the burn, As long as you keep it wet it wont hurt too bad. consider going to the er a bad burn can cause problems down the road. if its real bad some tissue can die and you will have a bad scar. aloe plant is good for burns that are not real deep. You can also use vitamin e cream after it heals. it will make the scar go away faster...best of luck, just don't ignore this.

Aloe Vera, Ice, and a nice semi-cold, semi-warm bath should make it better. If it doesn't, after about an hour, put some neosporen on it and go see the doctor.

Sit by your computer and wait for strangers to give you advice. Whatever you do, DON'T seek professional help. The scars will give you something to talk about at those fancy cocktail parties!

Put some ice on it. That will help soothe it. If the skin is damaged try some Neosporin
