presentation opener?

im doing a presentation on paranoid personality disorder, which is a disorder where people's personalities tend to be distrusful and suspicious of others.
what would be a good eye opener/ attention getter for my presentation?

- i cant find any clips or movies where paranoia is demonstrated

Get a picture of Richard Nixon. I'm not being flippant. Richard Nixon had many paranoid personality traits that led to his downfall, I won't detail Watergate etc. When I took psychopathology, my professor taught us that the hallmark of any personality disorder was irresponsibility. An example was the way he resigned the presidency, after being elected by a huge majority, rather than face impeachment. If you are afraid of conservatives and controversy, contrast him with Ronald Reagan who used rhetoric like, "evil empire," but thought folks were basically good and decent and let criticism slide right off him.

Paranoid Personality Disorder is VERY frequently cited in the series "Criminal Minds", which revolves around a team of FBI agents in the B.A.U. (Behavorial Analysis Unit). Just thought you'd like to know.

Another good idea would be to (as the person before me stated) opening with a piece of writing created by someone with the disorder, or by someone pretending to have it. You know, like a vignette, written in the first person, detailing the world from the paranoid's point of view. It'd definitely get people's attention, if written well.

Powerpoint Presentations, or anything on a computer for that matter, are always eye-catchers. :P

Open with a clip of Humprey Bogart as Captain Queeg. His crew thought he was paranoid but they turned out to be wrong. Then you can go into the right ways to tell.
