I don't mind 3-9 months of schooling, but I just don't have time to get a college degree. What can I do that will give me a 12-15 dollar an hour job in Florida that requires little or no schooling and has weekends off? Do you know of any websites that are good to help me with a new career. I enjoy people. I was a flight attendant and that was schooling for only 4 weeks and I loved it but now it is time to move on. I was there for over 10 years. I want to stay close to home now.

don't set your sights so low as 30k shoot for hundreds, if you come up short, oh well. Real Estate offers on the job training, and has great upside potential for cash.

Well if you've worked as a flight attendant for 10 years, then you obviously have really great customer service skills. You've had to deal with customers directly for a long period of time. I would play up that aspect on your resume and in job interviews. Some people will never have the ability to interact well with others and don't have that experience, so you should definitely be proud that you have that under your belt. Monster.com and CareerBuilder.com are a couple of websites that might help you out. Good luck on your career hunt!

If this question is not a joke. I would recommend you evaluate selling insurance (car/home/life etc). You will not need a degree or any upfront cash. But you will require to sit exams and become certified over time. Check out the major insurance companies for information on careers. If you can make a living and network well, $40K would be low end. Good luck.

I still think the best way to do this is to get an admin position in a company. If you perform well and they can see you have skills (even without the degree), you can move around in the company. You can start this process through a temp agency...

Insurance sales could be a good way to make an unlimited amount of money. Schooling in Ohio is only a week and then you take the exam.

I'm not a female, but I'll tell you the one I'm thinking about. CDL, tractor-trailer training. And guess what? You'll make more than $30,000 a year.

The employers want to see that you will stick with something for more than a few months. that's why they like to see a college degree.
