Tips on fishing lobster?

My dad is a lobster fishermen. I would like to brag to him about good tips (bait, traps, etc)

Go to a local marina and collect all the fillets in the garbage cans and put those heads, bones, tails in your lobster trap. It's a good way of saving money and it's effective.
