Seriously, if someone you either knew or didn't know told you they didn't believe in God how would you respond?

I'm only asking cause people have asked me if I believe in god and when I tell them that I don't they most often give me a shocked look and start preaching about how I'll go to hell cause I'm a non-believer, so I wanted to hear what other people had to say.

I've heard that more than a few times. As a christian, it was our job to spread the word, it's done, I don't know anyone who hasn't heard. If people chose not to believe, that's called free will. You can't make someone believe something. So basically, my resonse woud be "okay".

I would think that they were trying to shock me or illicit some kind of intense reaction.

I believe that everyone knows that God exists. The only reason that anyone would declare that they did not would be self centered behavior that caused them to turn away from God.

So, I choose to believe God, with whom I have a personal relationship, and not you. I would feel sad for you and pray for you to have many blessings in your life, just like I'm doing now for you.

God bless you.

It wouldn't be an issue for me. Although I was raised Roman Catholic, I do have many problems with the church and have separated myself from the church over 10 years ago. If someone just didn't believe in A GOD then that would be fine with me. I don't know what I believe!!!

I would shake their hand.

I've been in the reverse situation where I told a christian I didn't believe in a god or gods.He then went onto preach.I kindly waited till he was done, and I then dismantled his arguments for god,the bible, story of jesus, personal experiences down one by one..

Whether their so called evidence is from scripture or ID or personal testimony.I can tell you I've never made anyone more angry in my life.

I use to be religious,I know the Delusion.

first I would ask them if they just do not believe in the christen god (Jesus) or do they not believe in any kind of god.

alot of people are just confused and just cannot believe in the bible or Jesus. they are usually looking for something to believe in but don't know what.

ask them about creation and see if they believe in evolution or how were we all created. There are so many different religions on earth, one is not right over the other as long as your belief is good and moral and loving.

One of my college friends doesn't believe in god. I just took it and move on. I respect his wishes. Besides if I tried to convert him, he would be more likely to resist even harder. This might mean I am selfish but I only have to worry about myself and wither I can go to heaven. The only thing I can do is pray that god enters his heart.

AAAARGHHHHHH!!!!! WAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! YIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIKES! does that make you feel better? actually, i've known a lot of people who don't believe in God, but i don't recall flipping out...usually i just say 'i do', and then one of three things happens...1) we get into a discussion about it, and agree to disagree, 2) we don't get into a discussion about it, with pretty much the same result, or 3) they call me a 'retard' and step off...#3 has hardly ever happened, though

I appreciate every idea, even if it is against my idelogy.
Because people have right to follow what they think as right.
I am not offended by people who say hindus do idol worship, pray to cows, or hinduism is not a religion. It is their life, they have right to choose what they want. However i dont like when people do with intention to hurt others.

Why would that make react any differently to them telling me the weather was lovely today? It's not my place to tell someone else what to believe.

It is up to each Individual.
I don't react much cause I have Learned alot.

In general I trust each Individual as much as they will allow me to.
If you tell me that you are Saved, I will only trust you as much as YOU show me you can be trusted.

Jesus is the Only One Who said that satan (the devil) had NOTHING in HIM.

I don't bother People much about Jesus if I know that they have Already Heard about HIM.
Ditto.............
