Just adding them to the account as an authorized user won't affect your credit, assuming that you don't actually let them use and make payments on the card. If you add them as a joint owner of the account, you will run a higher risk of having your name associated with their accounts, so you will have to watch your credit reports to be sure that some of their bad information doesn't get on your history.

No, it will not affect your credit simply by adding someone to your credit card. Just be prepared to be responsible for the purchases.

If they use the card and it doesn't get paid for, then it would have a definite effect on your credit. Otherwise, no.

If u're credit is good and u're partner's bad, then u will get the card and u're partner won't, or vice versa. Or u could both get it.
