If youre talking about an actual circular ring with the ball holding in both sides, use needle-nose pliers. It gets it off without wrecking it if you just apply pressure to both sides of the hoop. Just make sure to wash them first :)

If you are talking about the nose rings with the balls on the end that don't screw off, just as an FYI -you are going to have to pull it out. and its gonna hurt! I had to do the same thing and OH MY GOD!!! it was painful, but once you've worked it awhile and gotten the ball halfway out (inside the skin) it's peachy from there.

Just prepare yourself and pull it the rest of the way out. It would be better to have a friend or someone you trust do this - but hold onto your nostril and pull away! Good luck!!

nose rings arent usually twist on there usually pressure fit, the ball has a dent on either side and the hoop has rounded ends that fit into the ball tightly , all you have to do is push the ball while holding the hoop still and it will pop off , or spread the hoop open carefully and the ball will drop out, its hard to get it back in though !!!

I had one in my eyebrow a few years ago and I couldn't get it off so I had two friends take it out and they used a pair of scissors to prise the ring gently apart to get the ball out. Obviously this wasn't a screw one. Be careful though and if you can't get it off just go to a piercing shop and they'll do it for you.

The ball should screw off if you turn it to the left.

Check with the person who installed it. Most have to be unscrewed.
