Usually snoring doesn't bother me, but if it's very loud, it will often help to just poke them a little bit. In my experience, many snorers stop when they move even a little from their position, so there's generally no need to wake them completely.

Generally if I'm in the same room as a snoring person, I know them well... they are friends or family. So I cut them a break to begin with... also, I snore. If I could stop it I would, I would hope my loved ones can look past this flaw.

LOL! I guess it SHOULD bother me, because growing up, my mother snored so loud that at times I thought the paint was going to come off the walls. And my parents' room wasn't that close to my bedroom. I don't mind snoring, anymore. Now when I go to sleep, I need to hear some noise b/c silence is too loud. I fall asleep to the "gentle rain" setting.

That's a valid reason a lot of couples give for why they sleep in separate bedrooms.
BTW, it's "you're" as in you are- not "your" and it would be "they're" snoring so loud- not "their".
Get some of those breathe right strips and leave them on the nightstand for them and go sleep in the bathtub or somewhere else. may be uncomfortable but at least you'll get SOME sleep.

Well, as you get older you sort of have to get used to it. Unfortunately it seems to be a thing with many men, they seem to get into snoring at a certain age. It is extremely annoying, but you would lose a lot of friends if you really let it get to you.
It did get to me with my husband and now he sleeps with a mask. He isn't happy, but at least we can sleep in the same room and are still married.
Mostly I find it annoying if it happens at a movie, and it's coming from someone near me and there's nothing I can do.

OMG!! yes it annoys me very much. I would start playing some music or using something to block the sound out. Either that or start sleeping in separate rooms!!lol

my husband is asleep upstairs and i can still hear him snore =/. yea it gets on my nerves at times. but that's just part of loving someone - you have to take the bad with the good. (nose strips do work!!)

Only if I'm awake when they start snoring, but if I'm already asleep...no, cause I won't wake up.
