The Monster/ISF DVD for HDTV calibration is about $20 and worth having.
Good Alternative, see if you a DVD with THX Optimizer built in (check the logos in the back) (Star Wars, Finding Nemo , etc.)

Sharpness means Focus ! you don`t need a test pattern for that !, disconnect the antenna so you have a screen full of " snow " , then adjust the focus for sharpest snow !

bluered,i got a 15 yr old color zenith that i keep cuz it has nice color tones,,,& pretty good fidelity,skin tone etc,use zoom2 or 3 to fill screen .....what i've done to adjust the color,hue,tint,etc,is use a dvd with alot of flashy stuff like alien v predator on pause,then adjust each knob as needed,,,,,,,kinda do it by ear so to speak,,,,for a test pattern i use fox news,,,,,,,,ahr ahr ahr,,,about downloads,,,,,dnk

my tv takes a sd card so maybe an image from this site would work for that
