find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

The best diet, period, is the Mediterranian Diet. You can find out all about it either from a book or on-line. Lots of fruit, veggies, nuts, small potions of meat and fish, nuts. Very good for weight loss and medically proven to be perfect as a lifetime diet plan to maintain optimal health.

Buy a pedometer (which meaures how many steps you take) and be certain to take at least 10, 000 steps each day. This is not hard, but you have to be determined. If you can get 12,000 all the better. You can actually buy a reasonably reliable one at a dollar store!

Drink eight cups of water every day. 30 drops a day of nettle root tincture can help you eliminate this water so you don't just carry extra weright from water. You can buy this on-line from "Wise Woman" or any herbal products dealer.

Exfoliate the skin all over your body with a loofah each time you shower, to assist your skin's ability to eliminate toxins.

Do not do anything extreme. Five pounds a month for four months is doable. The more important thing is to stay healthy, enjoy what you eat, and feel and look great.

Losing weight requires good balalnced healthy eating and exercise.

What is balalnced eating? Yes, well, even the "experts" disagree on that! But if you stick to fresh fruit and vegetables (heaps of vegetable) and make sure you don't eat any fried food and reduce foods with a high sugar content (rad the labels of everything you buy), you'll be on track. Ensure you eat enough protein (lean meat, eggs, chicken, fish) and don't cut fats out of your diet totally because our bodies need fat to operate.

Really, it isn't about diet - it is about developing a healthy way of living, including cardio and weight training, not just the eating.

Eating six small meals a day will improve your weight loss. Eat too little or too infrequently and your body goes into famine mode and tries to hold on to every last scrap - storing it, which is what you want to avoid.

Breakfast - prorridge (oats) with a little natural honey

10 AM snack - Soy yoghurt (has the least added sugar) or a piece of fresh fruit

Lunch - chicken and avocado salad, sweet chilli dressing or balsamic dressing

3 pm snack - fresh fruit or 147 calories muesli bar or fresh nuts

Dinner - steamed vegetables and grilled meat or fish

Supper - Weight watchers tub of ice-cream

That's a sample daily intake of food which is not hard to organise.

Cardio 5 - 6 times a week for 45 - 50 minutes at a good intensity and weight training 2 - 3 times a week and you should reach your goal and have developed a healthy lifestyle in the process.

Drink plenty of water!

You can still splurge every now and then on dinner out as well!

In about 4 months I lost 18 lbs just by changing the way I ate. You know, don't pick at left overs after you've eaten. Make sure you don't just eat when you are bored. Try to eat healthy things. I tried to stay within 1500-2000 calories a day, and it worked. If I had exersized, even just a little then I am sure I would have lost a bunch more. Eat six times a day. Breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner, snack. Anyway, that's the best I can give you.

Honestly, the best thing I found out that has really worked for me is TrimSpa. I have lost 19 lbs in 9 days. I was really scepticle when I heard about it but, then I decided what the heck I would try it. I quit drinking soda's all together and went directly to drinking water and unsweet tea. I still ate what I enjoyed eating but, just smaller portions as the TrimSpa curved my appitite. I have had more energy and I walk atleast a mile per day. And, honestly that is alot for me being that I am a survivor of ovarian cancer. I hope this helps you and I wish you the best of luck!

Rule of thumb: everyday, u burn 10cal/pound.

For example, if you weigh 100 lbs, u burn 1000 cal/day. And that's w/out excercise.

So eat 500cal less than that, and u'll lose 1 lb/week. If u excercise, it's even faster.

Drink coffee, play DDR, don't eat past 7pm. Good luck to u. I'm in the same boat as u. I also need to lose 20 lbs asap. So far, the coffee and tuna salad diet is working.

20 pounds is really not a lot of weight to lose. I suggest watching how much you eat. Start doing fat free stuff and snack bars and shakes in the morning. Stay away from greasy foods and drink plenty of water. No soda or juice. Park farther away at the grocery store and work. It shouldn't be that hard. Good Luck.

This is one of the best questions regarding how to lose weight.. Why? you give yourself enough time to lose weight sensibly.. The best advice I can give is, portion control. Eat smaller meals.. Walk away hungry. Add some cardio exercise daily.. Walk one day, jog, cycle or swim the next.. Mix it up to prevent boredom. I eat 6 small meals daily.. I mean smaller.. Portion size roughly the size of my palm. Mixed in with Cardio. every other day and circuit training three times a week.. Avoid Lot's of breads.. Get some good quality carbs.. fresh veggies, salads. I avoid lot's of potato's and pasta's Good luck..

Don't try to force yourself into a regime because you will feel too punished. The best way is to eat a lot of fruit and veg and take exercise that you enjoy like swimming regularly, not necessarily every day, but you can work up to exercising every day eventually. If you try too hard, you'll feel miserable. Do what you like doing and you will succeed.
