In a book that I have full of quotes from the Bible, it says that the only unforgiveable sin is, "And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come" (Matthew 12:30-32).

So my question is......What is speaking against the Holy Ghost? And are there any other unpardonable sins that this book may have gotten wrong?

The bible says that even our Conscience speaks to us telling us that GOD is here. The attributes of God is all around us trying to 'nudge' us to seek him. Read Romans Chapter 1 Verse 18 through Chapter 2 Verse 16.

The thing about blaspheming the Holy Ghost(holy spirit) is one really never knows if someone has down it. It does not mean that you say F U holy spirit. The Holy Spirit speaks and nudges us even when we do not have a relationship with the Father, trying to get us to search and want to find out "WHO or WHAT IS GOD"; trying to get us to search for the truth. If you truly search earnestly with the sole reason of wanting to have a relationship with you Creator than he will reveal himself to you.

If a person continually ignores, rebels against, and pushes these 'urges' away, then the spirit will stop and leave them to their worldly desires. This is what is meant by blashemy of the holy spirit.

I have met some people who do not even think about God. God is not even the last thing on their mind but is not on their mind at all. You think to yourself have the blasphemed but the truth is you don't know.

I will say this, if you are asking questions like this then you have not.

Other then that, nothing else is unpardonable. Whether we like it or not if Hitler would have accepted the Messiah before he died he could have gone to heaven.

blending cotton and polyester (this is in Leviticus), besides the undeniable fact that that's forgivable. heavily, blaspheming the Holy Spirit that's denying Christ is the unforgivable sin. this is unforgivable because of the fact it struck on the very heart of the redemptive artwork of God in Christ. It wenet against the very nature of Jesus’ ministry of redemption, testimony, and training. Jesus replaced into ministering interior the ability of the Holy Spirit , relaxing the divine plan of God to offer a sacrifice for all sin. in case you're worried which you will have devoted the sin and can’t be forgiven then don’t be afflicted. in case you're stressful approximately it, then you certainly haven’t devoted it. in case you had, you wouldn’t be afflicted. i desire that made experience. God bless. Peace, tman

I guess, I never knew that one either. I can't imagine why anyone would have a reason to talk down the holy ghost or Jesus unless they're another faith. I don't go arond bad mouthing Buddha or Muhammad, but I do know a lot of people do. Religion should be kept to you and yours, I guess. I don't know of any other unforgiveable sins but if I hear of any, I'll post them. Personally, I think it's totally up to God who is forgiven or not but I could be wrong. I'd say think for yourself and You'll be all right.

I've asked this question before and I get thousands of different answers and interpretations. I find it amazing that the only unforgivable sin is something that noone knows what it actually is, so people have to live in torment over whether they've comitted it or not.

Speaking against the Holy Spirit would be rejecting God and His gift of salvation. And any sin that you have not asked forgiveness for would also be unforgivable. Salvation is a day to day process.

Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the [age] to come

In the book of Matthew in the Bible, this quote is from Jesus. He is speaking to the pharisees at that time. They were saying that Jesus was driving demons out of a man and it was of the devil. Jesus told them that His power came from the Holy Spirit which came from God. There fore, when they spoke against the Spirit from God that would not be forgiven. That was meant only for the Pharisees that spoke against the Spirit of God. When Jesus the Christ died on the cross, He died for ALL sins for ALL time, past, present and future. There are NO unforgiveable sins, because Jesus died so that all of our sins, no matter what they are, will be forgiven if we truly repent and ask Him to be Lord and Savior of our life.

I think if you said something like "Jesus had a gay lover named Juanito and they liked to give each other naked backrubs", that may be considered speaking against the ghost - dunno, gotta ask a priest. But since the true God is Allah He doesn't give a crap what you say about the holy ghost or Jesus.

On the other hand, better not mention that Muhammad liked to suck camel testicles.

When you do not let the Holy Spirit convict you of your sins and send Him away instead - choosing not to be saved you have spoken against the Holy Spirit and no, there is no sin greater than this.

The only unforgiveable sin is negating your own existence and collapsing into a state of utter nihilism. It's pretty hard to do, so don't worry about it too much, k?
