No vets open and I think my dog just drank some of the drano that I had in my bathtub. What should I do?

Call poison control. Do not make it throw up.

Call the vet to see if there is a hotline number when you call.

In the meantime call the number on the Drano container and ask what to do about poisoning. There will be a 1-800 number on the bottle. They will tell you whether you should give ipecac or another substance to promote vomiting. You can get ipecac from the pharmacy if it is appropriate to give it.

I would call the vet. He will charge for an emergecy - but to me IT IS BETTER TO BE SAFE THAN SORRY. I would do this for my dogs.
You could call him/her (the vet) and ask what you could do at home in case the dog did drink the Drano. You might also ask what symptoms should you look for. The vet may or may not tell you - depends on the vet.
Hope this helps.

Do not make hin throw it up. Drano is an acid and will just burn the esophagus coming up.
Make him drink milk. Milk, not water. The milk will coat the stomach and help protect it and also help dilute the drano. Force it down if you have to.

Call poison control on the bottle and see what to do to hold him, but get him to the emergency vet immediately. Do not make it throw up.
