you have to eat the same amount of calories every day so your metabolism knows what its dealing with. if you eat 1400 one day and 700cal next - your body thinks its not getting food anymore and stores as much as it can in fat reserves.
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Well you do not weigh too much for your age. You have the average weight for your height. Whether you go on a diet or not, exercising and healthy eating are excellent ways to keep your body in great shape. Cutting down on the time you spend in front of the computer or TV can help you boost your activity level and may even help you snack less.

If you eat less than 1200 calories a day your body goes into starvation mode lowering your metabolism b/c it thinks it is starving. For you, your body probably went into starvation mode at 1400-1500 b/c you are so active. You have to eat more to boost your metabolism so you will burn more calories, but make sure it is still healthy more vegetables, fruit, grains. Vitamins may help your body receive some of the nutrients it is missing from your dieting. Lifting some light weights can help build muscle which will help you burn more calories, but muscle weighs more than fat so could actually cause you to gain some weight. Secret ingredient is lots of water.
