ok idk about you all but I alwaysed clashed w/ my art teachers back then, the highschool and so on ones are cool but the lower grades I think loose the idea of expression, instead just mimic, idk whats do you think????

Grade school and middle school art teachers, in my opinion, are really just "drawing class" teachers. Everything you do in there has little to do with what great art is about. First of all, they are teaching little kids who don't really feel like painting or drawing, and second of all, if they were particularly brilliant or motivated, they wouldn't be teaching at a middle or elementary school... They would either be at a university or they would be some hobo making great works in his garage, you know? Oh sure they SAY they want you to be creative, they SAY they want originality, but all they want is to see you do what they THINK is original or creative. Its just like my elementary school Gifted teacher who used to favor the most cookie-cutter, perfectionist kids in our class. I mean, brilliance doesn't follow any rules. Great people were never obedient. How can you innovate if you value consistency and convention.

That is not always the case. And a lot of kids mimic at that age so it's ok. They are still learning. Throughout the whole school day, kids always get a chance to express themselves and if not, then I would switch schools.

An art teacher's job is to demonstrate technique.
Whether a student just mimics or goes beyond that is entirely up to them.

I loved all of my art teachers. I only had art from Kindergarten through eighth grade. They were very influential and I thank them for that.

The ones I have come across were fortunately pretty open to interpretation, for both grade and middle schools.

I don't they all sucks still even that I've all grown up I still think that they sucks middle Thu high school the teachers use to sit us students up those B's sit us up and played us like tones from some songs.dang bastards!

teachers are their to teach only, studients are their to learn get along or not this is the way it is.
