Try the Abs Diet. I'm currently on it so I can lose some weight and build muscle for my summer holiday. It sounds effective and theres plenty of scientific information to back it up. The core of the plan is free and is designed by the editor of Mens Health so you know you're not reading garbage.

I've been on this for only 3 weeks but I have definately noticed an improvement in overall health aswell as fat loss and muscle gain. Before this my diet consisted of random meals (sometimes just one a day) and those were junk and a lot of meat so I felt sluggish and even depressed at points but the Abs Diet has turned that around and now I feel great! The key to this all is acclimatisation: you HAVE to get your body used to change. As they say, the hardest part is the beginning but once you've gotten used to it you'll be fine. Hell, now I always tell myself that nothing beats drinking water lol. An important part of the diet is whey protein aswell so you build muscle but I suggest you also take creatine after a few weeks to add on some more muscle mass and boost energy levels as it has worked for me thus far.

One of the great things about this plan is that it's not exactly a "diet" where you restrict yourself from everything; it's a change in eating habits that's based around finding alternatives (inc. the 12 powerfoods) that taste good and are specialised for healthier living. You also have to eat 6 portions of food a day so that somewhat reiterates the lack of restriction. Read up on the website, there are food recipes, exercise plans (and complimentary diagrams) and facts to support the theories. You don't even have to follow their recipes as long as you follow the important guidelines e.g. Eat wholemeal bread instead of white, use olive oil, eat fruit and veg, lean meats etc. Quite frankly, as long as your food contains some of the Power 12's then you're sorted really. It's not a quick-fix diet as it requires consistency, control and perseverence. There's so many bullsh*t diets out there that don't really do much and or have adverse effects, but the Abs Diet is different, or at least I believe it so and have witnessed so far. Anyway, enough of my jabberin', give it a read.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

the best way to lose some weight seriously is to -
1.watch your food intake,
2. do some sort of physical excercise, gradually increasing from 10 mins of brisk walking to may be 30 mins of hydrolics.
3.try avoiding oily food and junk food and soda,
4.drink atleast 6-8 glasses of water daily.
5.avoid eating dinner after 8 pm
Best of Luck!!

Wait-I'm confused.....you're cutting out the good stuff and still eating the big mac?? Don't eat after 7:00 PM. Drink lots and lots of water. Wherever you want to loose weight, tightly wrap yourself with plastic wrap and do any kind of work out that makes you sweat alot. Do push ups and bench press. Eat lots of protein and stop going to McDonald's. Good Luck With That.

Run sprints Monday, Wednesday, and Friday morning in the previous you devour breakfast and reduce chocolates and smooth liquids out of your weight-relief plan. also, circumvent pasta on each occasion conceivable. in case you do not experience like that's sufficient, you are able to accelerate your weight-loss procedure by technique of utilising squat thrusts or mountain climbers for tabata sprints on Tuesday and Thursday mornings in the previous you devour breakfast. Google tabata sprints, they're thanks to demanding to describe. yet in case you try this exercising elementary, 5 days per week, alongside with the burden-relief plan alteration, you'll see a severe substitute after 2 weeks. Do a round of bodyweight workouts contained in the evening on Wednesdays and contained in the morning on Saturdays. this may upload some severe definition, muscular tissues, and power such as you does no longer trust. those incorporate chin ups, pull ups, push ups, handstand push ups. ignore ab workouts, they're already lined by sprinting and pull ups.

exercise is the easiest way to get rid of weight ... diets just don't work. walk 4 miles in an hour (4mph ... brisk walk) 6 days a week. slowly build up if you need to... one mph is great to start ... just keep moving. walk up and down stairs too ... it is like weight lifting ... but just for the legs.
