Because, when we are patient with others, usually they end up figuring things out without stressing out over it. And when we're patient with others, it makes us more likable, and people will feel encouraged to come to us.
Also, the best things take time - and therefore paitience.
Then there's "Love is patient. Love is Kind..." (1 Corinthians 13:4) And to Love is a powerful and valuable thing.
Most importantly, God is patient. So we should be too.

Virtues are considered to "good" things. Therefore patience is considered to be a "good" thing. I think it may have something to do with reacting with the heart instead of the mind; a sort of "think before you speak" sort of thing. Two ears to listen, one mouth to speak. Just my thoughts.

Patience rewards.Inpatience leads to depression.Patient people succeed atlast.A man was praying God continuosly for 3 years for fulfilment of one of his wihes .As his wish was not fulfilled he stopped praying. One day God came before him The man asked God why He did not grant his wish. God said that he fulfils some wishes only the day after completion of 3 years from the initial prayer. It means if only the man has prayed fort another day...! patience pays always.

A virtue is something learned. No one is naturally patient, regrettably.

Because we are usually "reacting' rather than 'responding' and when we react we often create upset and anger, both in ourselves and others.
