I am in Wisconsin wich makes it central time. During the day, from about noon until about 8pm there seems to be non stop attacks on atheists...

Where are all of your real questions you say should be on this board?
I don't think I have seen anything new on here for at least two weeks during this time period.

Well, my feel is that they're in the uncomfortable position of having been indoctrinated by others with neither permission nor even knowledge to a belief-system with *Zero Evidence*

What else can they do but aim poorly - they have no real guns and no reasoned ammunition - at least some must see the fallacies inherent in all religions, so having nothing to fight with, they just strike out however they can. ... It's an untenable position that they're in and it's rather sad.

My take is that there are a lot of poorly-aimed attacks going on in both directions. Way too much rantin' and revin' for my taste.

I yearn for a real question. Some have enough to chew on and give a response.

I am also loathe to wast 5 pts on a real question in front of this crowd - a lot of tripe getting thrown around.

I agree there seems to be a lot of persecution towards atheists. But there seems to equal attacks on Muslims, Latter Day Saints, and Jehovah Witnesses. Personally I don't care what people choose to believe. That is their right. I wish they would just ask questions rather then hate and persecute others.

I disagree. From looking at the R & S section it seems people of faith/religion get more attacks than anything. If you are an atheist you are probably paying more attention to the attacks on atheists.

As you see from some of your answers, the attacks go both ways. I constantly see attacks on Christians from Atheists..goes both ways and no one can deny that.

People who are not used to thinking and have no evidence to support their position are highly limited in their options in discussion with non-believers in their particular cult. To their benefit, only a couple of dozen people here use comments as stupid as the banana or the crockduck patheticness.

Well, after 8 p.m. it starts to be bed time for all the little kiddies and the general level of conversation improves as the kids go to sleep and vampires all come out.

That's not exactly sweetness and light from the atheists in the forum, I'm afraid. Truthfully, I don't think any of us have a lot of room to talk about the other side of the faith issue.

Be what you want to be, it's your right. Let others to be what they want to be, it's their right. Respect others if you want to have the right to demand respect. No one will disrespect anyone's beliefs or disbeliefs as long as others show the same respect. NO ONE can force beliefs or disbeliefs ON ANYONE.

"The more you antagonize a person, the stronger the opposition you'll find."...it's human nature.
