How old is your Shogun? Dixie horns are unlawful on something first used on or after 1st August 1973. It must be a horn producing a "consistent observe". Technically i'd wager you would be able to smash out with it in case you nevertheless have the conventional horn in use and the airhorns are operated off a separate change, and you do no longer use 'em on the line. in truth, i comprehend you are able to, we had a rally administration motor vehicle outfitted with "police" type sirens, run from a separate change, and we bumped off the fuse on the line between stages to ward off blunders. however, i'd wager your wiring isn't passing sufficient present day - do you have the wiring diagram that got here with them initially? The compressor demands a particularly important present day to function sucessfully.

When emergency vehicles converted from bells and sirens to two tone horns ("Blues & Twos") all other vehicles were required to have single tone horns. This of course catches Colonel Bogey, Dixie &c &c. Applies to all registrations after 1972 (I think)

Nothings illegal if you don't get caught. I don't think they are though, as long as you don't use it in a way that would cause someone to crash you'll be fine.
