Let's say I go to the church
add to the collection plate
get saved
then later decide that I don't want to be saved

If it's over $250 then you can claim it back on your taxes. Just get a receipt.

BTW you would never have been saved.

It's time to better yourself, Holly. I do not know the full extent of your bills or your income, but a family of three should be able to survive on $30,000 a year with a little breathing room. My suggestion is you seek training. Go to college, get some certificates, something, anything that will allow you to get a job with more income. I understand your need to pray to God for help but nothing will ever happen until you help yourself. Do either of you have a second job? It may be time to get one until one of you can score a better income. Oh, and training is all but free these days. There are so many government grants out there plus student level loans, with a little determination and hard work, you'll be just fine in a couple of years.

You wish...
Look what happened with God's little boy Jesus. "He is coming back, he is coming back." OK, 30 days would be reasonable, but it's been over 2000 years and we are still waiting. If any of my rebates were not delivered for 2000 years, I'd be sure they were lost in the mail, or the whole thing was a scam.

You shouldn't get saved and then start throwing money into a bowl. Churches who are responsible and accountable will have you take a class to teach you the right way to do all of that, and it will come after they get you plugged into a mentor.

www.emic.org has their church's membership classes online so that you can understand what you are doing before you do it. That way yourecieve an investment before you have to give one.
